Inspiration.

We reviewed hundreds of pin boards submitted from all over the world, and chose nine creatives to take over the cover of our next zine. Teams were assembled in Dallas, Los Angeles and Brooklyn to bring three distinct visions to life.

Inspired by themes of Black leisure, retro style and editorial fashion; these Black image makers worked hand-in-hand to elevate and execute each concept, lending their unique perspectives at the service of one cohesive project. This is the spirit of Collective Work & Responsibility (Ujima). This is The Collective Inspiration — Empowered by Pinterest.

The melanin is abundant but the zines are in limited supply.

Pinterest is where we bring our vision together.

Since CRWNMAG’s inception, Pinterest has been the natural place to visually represent and organize our creative conjurings. This partnership formalizes an organic relationship between two brands created to inspire a richer, more beautifully authentic existence online and irl.

An inside look at creative process.

Follow us from Brooklyn to Dallas and see some of the small moments that went into producing each cover. For us it is about how it feels as much as it is about the visuals.
